№ 00 — Counsel for Difficult Junctures

Meeting the needs of businesses & investors.

An advisory practice for owners, directors, trustees and investors — supporting commercial enterprises, charities and the investor community across the United Kingdom and internationally, at every stage of the business cycle.

§ 01 — For Enterprises & Charities

For owners, directors & trustees.

Business Broker Services Limited is more than a firm — it is a network of business professionals, entrepreneurs, investors and commercial landlords, assembled to meet the commercial needs of organisations at any stage of their development or cycle.

The practice exists for one purpose: to support owners and directors in achieving the objectives of the business — and the personal goals of the people who lead it.

§ 02 — For Investors & Philanthropy

For principals, patrons & funds.

On the other side of every introduction stands our network of business angels, commercial landlords, charities, entrepreneurs, private equity, institutional investors and philanthropists — many of whom regard the practice as part of their business family.

We pride ourselves on matching qualified opportunity to stated mandate; never on volume.

§ 03 — The Practice

Counsel across the lifecycle of a difficult moment.

From the first private conversation to the final settlement — each engagement is bespoke, each introduction made by hand, each step taken in confidence.

i

Acquisitions, Sale & Equity

Confidential acquisitions, full-business sale, and equity transactions — valuation, negotiation and completion, conducted in discretion.

ii

Expansion, Start-up & Capital

Counsel and capital for owners growing — and for founders launching. Seed funding, expansion advice, and the right introductions to lenders.

iii

Restructuring & Rescue

Capital and operational reorganisation; stabilisation and refinancing for businesses in distress — alternatives to liquidation, where they exist.

iv

MBI & MBO

Management buy-ins and buy-outs assembled with care — leadership, capital and counsel as one engagement, structured for an enduring outcome.

v

Commercial Property & Lease

Acquisition, lease, licence and rental advisory for trading premises and investor estate — alongside any transaction or as a standalone instruction.

vi

Transformation & Franchising

Strategic transformation for established concerns; franchise development for networks; management consulting where it is asked for, and not where it is not.

§ 04 — The Practitioner

Mr Lakis Petrides
Company Director.

The practice is led by Mr Lakis Petrides — a chartered scientist by training, contracts manager by profession, and entrepreneur, restaurateur and property principal by experience. He is a recipient of the Queen's Award and a former biochemistry researcher whose work at Unilever contributed to the development of AMES testing.

Having operated, owned, restructured and sold private businesses across four decades — in good markets and difficult ones — he brings to every engagement the breadth of someone who has held the owner's seat himself. He sits as trustee to several charities and serves as Diocese liaison.

That breadth is the practice's character: experience that has been earned, not read.

§ 05 — On Practice

There are few business problems that cannot be addressed if approached early, in confidence, and with the right counsel.

— A note to the owner

§ 06 — Consultation

Begin with a conversation.

Initial consultations are without charge or obligation. We respond within one business day; many enquiries within the hour. Mark urgent matters as such, and they shall be answered first.
